These Terms of Service govern your use of the Uchipaw app and website. By creating an account or using Uchipaw, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

What Uchipaw is
Uchipaw is an entertainment service. Your virtual pet is a fictional, AI-generated character. It is not real and it does not provide veterinary, medical, or any other professional advice. Nothing your virtual pet says should be relied on as such.
Your account
You need an account to use Uchipaw. You agree to provide accurate information, to keep your sign-in credentials secure, and to be responsible for activity under your account. You must be old enough to use the service under our Privacy Policy (16+, or younger with parental consent where local law allows).
Your content and the rights you grant us
- You must own, or have the necessary rights to, every photo you upload.
- Do not upload photos of identifiable third parties without their permission.
- You keep ownership of your photos. You grant us a license to process, store, and display your content as needed to run the service — including generating the cartoon portrait, showing it in the app, and making it available on the public portrait link and share page.
Acceptable use
You agree not to upload or generate content that is unlawful, infringing, or harmful. Uploaded photos are automatically moderated for pet presence and content safety, and uploads that fail these checks may be rejected.
Free tier, limits, and changes to features
Uchipaw offers a free tier with daily message limits and fair-use restrictions. We may change, add, or remove features over time. We will not degrade your rights under applicable consumer law by doing so.
Uchipaw+ subscription and credits
Uchipaw+ is an optional, recurring paid subscription; we also sell one-time credit packs for in-app purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. Uchipaw+ renews automatically until you cancel; you can cancel anytime from the in-app billing portal, and you’ll keep access until the end of the paid period. Credit packs are one-time purchases with no recurring charge. Except where required otherwise by law, payments are non-refundable once the corresponding feature or credits have been made available to you.
Termination
You can delete your account at any time from within the app, which removes your data as described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or terminate accounts that are abusive or that violate these terms.
Intellectual property
The Uchipaw app, its software, design, and branding are ours and remain our property. Your photos remain yours. The license you grant us above exists only to operate the service for you.
Disclaimers
The service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We do not guarantee that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that AI-generated content will be accurate.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the service. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of Romania. If you are a consumer, this does not affect the mandatory consumer-protection rights you have under the law of the EU country where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. When we make material changes, we will update the date below and, where appropriate, notify you in the app. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated terms.
